I found Amelia's article, "Making School Safe for LGBT Teens" extremely moving because I completely understand. Being a lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender teen is probably one of the most difficult things in the world. Unfortunately, not everyone accepts it and usually people only make it worse for those who are. I relate to this article because I am bisexual and many don't know or those who do only say I am confused or I am only going through a phase, and it tears me apart that nobody understands, specially the closest person to me and the only thing I have in the whole world, my mom. Though I have only dated one girl I can say that I do have an extreme attraction to them and 'I want to make it public, even though I'm going to be mercilessly tortured by people at school." I may have only experienced dating my same gender once, but that doesn't mean I am confused at all.
