I was amused by Bryce H's article, "The Tragedy of Horror," because my opinion on the "diminishing" horror industry is the exact opposite. When I watch a horror film from today, I am usually shaking with fear. Horror movies of earlier decades however, lack the ability to install a sense of fear. The main reason for the terrifying films of today are the special effects. Effects have changed drastically over the past 20 or 30 years and it makes a substantial difference to the emotion behind a film. Thank you Bryce for providing an opinion, different then my own, that I can ponder.
