Geil Merana's poem, "The Why Generation" gave me great joy in learning there is another with the same feelings that I have. I often struggle with what I am going to be when I grow up, like any other teen does. However, I do not want what our generation is offering. Like Merana said we are to secure a good future, "a future of currency," this is not what I, or Merana seem to strive for. I often wonder to myself what more there is to life, beyond materialistic desires of my parents. Yet, I'm not sure exactly what it is I want. I wish I could offer more to the author then my review, but there is more to life than materialism and I know we will find our niche one day. =]
