Response to " An Unhealthy Inheritance"

I found Amy's article "An Unhealthy Inheritance", such a moving piece. Your piece caught my attention and your writing continued my interest. It is amazing to know how many could possibly inherit a gene to become addicted to alcohol or drugs. I've always wondered, "what is I could inherit a gene, as a family member of mine is an alcoholic?". Fortunately, the author and I seem to know better enough not to fall for the trap.
