Randi Gutbrod's poem, "Being a Facebook Stalker," which was published in the last print magazine, perfectly describes the lives of most teenagers. Everybody does it! If you like somebody you don't talk to, you go on Facebook, add them as a friend, and read everything they post.

The vocabulary Gutbrod uses in his piece really ties it together. It starts out with a female character on her crush's wall, attempting to touch his skin, but discovers her fingertips meeting a cold, hard, computer screen. The middle of the poem shows how she observes and clicks on everything that mentions her secret crush.

At the end of the poem, there is sort of a cliff hanger. The reader is left wondering who IM'ed her. In conclusion, this well written poem which uses a relatable voice is one of my favorites.
