“An Unexpected Outcome” is a great, but sad piece by Teresa Patchogue. This article is about a young girl with a heroin addicted parent. This girl never went to a full week of school in her childhood life. Her mother would take money she had been saving and would use it to buy drugs. The girl had to live in a tent in the woods for a while and would have to wear the same cloths for a week at a time. Finally, the young girl went to tell her counselor that she had walked in on her month injecting needles into her feet and was asked to help her. I like this article, it shows no matter who is holding you back with drugs if u get them help it will help u too. The girl later in life got a softball scholarship to a college. I also like this because it’s about a girl who never gave up even though she had a rough life. This is why I chose this piece of writing to review.
