In “Behold the Teenage Goddess” by Michelle Tirto the writer talks about how the “Teenage Goddess” is the most popular and most beautiful. She says “It helps to have “pretty”as part of your description from the moment you’re born. ”Most people don’t, they have to work on being “pretty”.When she said “The closer a teenage girl’s relations are with boys, the more popular she becomes-to a point.”
This is very true in my school. If a girl is too interested in boys, the more she flirts with boys, the more and more obsessed with boys she becomes. Lastly, she says “There are only a handful of rules for the Teenage Goddesses to follow. First, don’ be “slutty”. Second, try to keep up on your studies so the Hillary Clinton model won’t be entitled to their self-righteous anger.”
My school does not follow these rules: the girls believe that to be pretty you have to a little “slutty”. Also, they believe that to be pretty you can’t be smart. I liked this article and the writers idea’s.
