Life - What An Exhausting Game

by: Tyler Stevenson - ME :D

The poem “Eyeliner” by Thao Ho, to me, is about a young girl who used to be the popular girl that wore the make up and all the mini skirts. The heavy makeup weighing down her face, the bright red lipstick and the foundation that didn’t even match her skin tone was becoming a problem for her. After a while, she just started wearing only eyeliner; the eyeliner was lighter than all the other makeup she used to wear. As she said at the end of the poem, “The eyeliner doesn’t wash away the person underneath, it brings it out.”
