"The Reality of Harry Potter" by Maria de Guardiola presents a valid argument. I, too, grew up through the whole 'Harry Potter is evil' shenanigans. Everything that they were claiming to be corrupting children was nothing I hadn't seen by the age of eight. Between the news, the radio, and the society I grew up in, I was more than aware of anything covered in the Harry Potter books. I remember thinking to myself, when they first began to make these claims, that these people were overreacting and making a big deal out of nothing. It just proves how easily people are set off about nonsense that is picked up by the media.
