“Lamentations of a Bus Girl,” by Alwyn G., was a very interesting read. I have ­never been a bus girl and probably never will be, due to my lack of coordination, but this story struck a chord. People who work at restaurants serving unappreciative, disrespectful people are truly extraordinary. No one should have to endure this harassment or inappropriate behavior.

Waiters, hostesses, and bus girls all go ­unnoticed and rarely receive thanks. Alwyn’s article highlights this sad fact and conveys a strong message to readers: treat restaurant workers with respect.
