I completely agree with Kyla G. that a trip across the country can be a life-changing experience. When I was 12, I went on a road trip from New England to California and back again. We spent three weeks in an RV and visited as many national parks as possible. It completely changed my life because it made me realize there is so much more to the world than just towns and people. There is great beauty in nature that you can only truly understand when you see it.
