Nicole S.’s article “Part of a Team” was awesome! I really enjoyed it. Her story came at just the right time for me; basketball season has started and our first game is tomorrow. Unfortunately, I struggle with diabetes and have missed a few practices, so I will probably not be able to play.
Nicole’s story, however, is an excellent reminder to me, and hopefully everyone, that being part of a team matters. Even though I won’t play in the game, I will be at practice working hard with my team, and tomorrow I will sit on the bench with pride for my teammates, my friends, and cheer for them as loudly as possible. So, thank you, Nicole, for this wonderful reminder.
