“It’s just an old, beaten-up basketball but it has been one of my longest, most consistent relationships.” I can really relate to Eric H.’s words. In the summer I also practice basketball a lot just for my own good and to get better. During the summer sunset, to cool down after a hot day, I go outside to practice and to communicate with the asphalt.
When I’m out there, I practice to overcome my weaker skills until I get them right. Playing basketball is relaxing; it helps me keep my mind off everyday life. Basketball has been my new occupation, just like Eric.
