I extremely agree with Lauren B.'s article "LOL=D" in the opinions section because she expresses that "texting in the middle of conversations, movies, or any other event where it is otherwise inappropriate to talk as rude as answering the phone." When people are texting when they are not supposed to, it makes me feel outraged. Cell phones are not supposed to have included keyboards similar to a computer to send instant text messages, and a cell phone should be only used to actually "speak" to people when it is a severe emergency. People should not interrupt others in the middle of a face-to-face conversation, for it is not proper to do so. Even if phones have even more applications, it is still rude to text without the need to be caught during a lecture. Texting around people around you is "ridiculous and unnecessary."
Thank you, Lauren for being a voice for old-fashioned, conventional teens. Lauren, you are not alone on being disturved by texting. You are not "just plain weird."
