I for sure can relate to Lisa Xu when she wrote,"Tokyo." In the summer of 2018, I went to Japan and fell in love. Xu was right about ,"Tokyo [being] neat and organized." Despite being crowded and fancy, Tokyo maintained cleaningness. The thing that schocked me the most is that the people line up on one side of the escalator if they don't wish to walk up, so they can leave the other side open for the people that do. The Japanese are so respectful that they organize themselves to provide convenience for others. However, I also went to Tochigi where I stayed with a host family and went to my host brother's highschool. After lunch, the students brushed their teeth. Since janitors do not exist in Japan, the students clean the school. Cleaning the classrooms was actually pretty fun. Back at my host family's house, my host grandparents kept clean. They were the ones I loved the most. So, thank you Lisa Xu for talking about Japan. I definitely miss Japan.
