Oh lovely azure rubber bands,
How you space apart my teeth so exquisitely,
So in three days I can get a wire attached to them.

I love the two hundred milligrams of Motrin,
Taken every day,
So I can eat without bringing pain.

How irritating you are as you push my teeth aside,
This will stay with me always,
A constant reminder of your presence.

The lisp you give me I admire even more.
As my tongue runs over your smooth, rubbery surface,
Making it difficult to pronounce my th's.

I will surely miss you,
Once I have brackets glued to my teeth,
Oh lovely azure rubber bands.
