   While industries rise,

a forest dies.

As CFC's are scattered,

our delicate ozone is shattered.

What has this world come to?

How can we see our futures through?

Why are we cheating ourselves this way?

Why aren't we helping our world today?

The forests are deteriorating at light speed it seems,

and don't forget our polluted oceans and streams.

We can't say "Forget it," "Why me?" or "Who cares?"

Our dying planet needs more than just stares.

Buildings and houses where forests used to stand.

Together we can change it if we all lend a hand.

Brothers and sisters together as one,

if we fight for our lives, we'll get it done.

Save the oceans, the trees, the sky and the birds.

If you really care, you'll consider my words.

Don't take this poem and stick it on a shelf,

Read it carefully if you want to save yourself.

I agree with this article. People today do not care about what they do. They spray hair sprays and other sprays into the atmosphere, and it destroys the ozone. People do not notice that they will hurt themselves in the long run. So we the people that do care should do something to help the environment.
