World In Need - A Song This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

When I was a young boy,

My father said to me,

Son, you've got one world

To save from its agony.

When God created Man,

Was this our destiny?

What lies in our future?

What will our future be?

Oooh, oooh The world is in need,

... ...Won't you open your eyes and see.

Oooh, oooh, The world is in need.

... ...Let's start with you and me.

Ponds, lakes, and oceans,

Infected by disease.

There's oil in Alaska,

and sewage in the seas.

Pollution everywhere

Destroying plants and trees.

Our selfish, careless ways

Have brought us to our knees.

Oooh, oooh, The world is in need,

... ...Plagued by CFCs.

Oooh, oooh, The world is in need,

... ...And recycling is the key.
