The Manatee MAG
Beneath the peaceful waters green,
there lies a creature slow and sweet,
a warm soft body, fat and creased,
a smiling face with bristled cheeks.
She quietly looks for a place to feed,
to nibble on the ocean weeds,
then she reaches for the surface to breath,
and slips away into the bleak.
Mysterious creatures of the sea,
gracefully swimming next to me,
a gentler creature there could not be,
the great gray cow, the manatee.
