And I Thought No One Cared MAG

By Anonymous

I was flipping through The Hollis Times, a weekly newspaper in my town when I came across an article describing the litter gathering on the edges of the roads, ruining the beauty of the town. The article went on to say that there was a group of people gathering at the high school that was planning to clean up the sides of the roads. It also said that they were looking for people to help. That weekend I went to the high school to join the group and was happily surprised at the number of people who showed up. All these people donated their Saturday morning cleaning up the environment.

After we got our assignments we all went on our way. I was assigned the road that I live on. At about noon I finished and took a ride around town. I couldn't believe how much better our town looked. I was happy to see that all these people woke up and noticed the pollution. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who cares. I wish that more towns would follow our lead and help clean up. ^
