Plan B

Plan B? Plan B? I never thought the day would come when I’d be shaking your hand, staring you straight in the face. Here you are, standing in my driveway, dressed in shades of grey and black. Falling through the air after the scene occurred before our eyes earlier that evening. The monsters of red and orange danced upon the stage, and when the curtains are shut for the last time, you appear, bowing in applause. Leaving me homeless.

When all else fails, one should always have a back up plan. This was a fictional piece I wrote based on the tragic event of a house fire. Although it may be hard to disinguish, I wanted to describe not only the event of the fire, but the aftermath as well, by comparing it a theatre performance.
