Main idea: A group of friends on a road trip                                                   Props
Setting: In a car and a bedroom                                                                           5 chairs
Macy: Allyson ( sits in passenger seat)                                                                paper plate
Sophia: Katie (back seat, driver)
Grace: Vivian, (driver)
Chorus: Taylor, Alayna, Natalie K and Lorenna
Narrator: Matt K.
Poems master: Allyson
Poems reader: Danielle
Set in middle of the stage.

Act 1 ; scene 1
Prologue ;
Narrator: There are three girls hopping into a car getting ready for a road trip they have been waiting to go on since september…….It’s July. It took so long because 1. they wanted it to go in summer and 2. they had to convince their parents to let them go, “They were only 17”,(in sarcastic tone mocking parents)
Scene 1
Chorus: Bright, Bright sun.
Narrator: The three friends Macy, Sophia, and Grace have been in a car for 10 hours.
Macy, Sophia, Grace: ROAD TRIP!!!!!!
Narrator: Three girls start to prepare for a trip they will definitely remember!
Grace: I’m so excited I can barely breathe !
Macy: I can’t believe we convinced our parents to let us go
Chorus: Together
Sophia: Where are we going, again?
Narrator: Sophia isn’t the sharpest crayon in the box.
Grace: Are you kidding me?
Macy: Sophia, I just told you five minutes ago (turns towards sophia in the back seat)
Sophia:Ohhh yeah, I forgot. (With large eyes)
Grace: WE'RE GOING TO CALIFORNIA, with the ocean and sand and the bright, bright sun!
Macy: Maybe we will see celebrities!
Sophia:(confused face) Isn’t the sun always bright, Grace?
Chorus: Bright, bright sun.

The bright sun attracts everyone
But so does the celebrities
Everyone has their ideas
Of what to do
It's the personality that matters

Scene 2

Chorus: On the road they go.
Macy: So what are we going to do first when we get there?
Sophia: I want to go pet the sharks!
Macy: Or maybe we could do something realistic.
(car slows down until complete stop)
Grace: NO NO NO!!!! What's happening? GO GO GO GOOOOOOOO
Sophia: What’s the matter, Grace?
Macy: Why are you yelling in my face? What’s going on?
Grace: The car.
Macy: What about the car?
Grace: We’re out of gas, DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?????
Sophia: Yes. Its means that there is no more gas left in the gas tank!
Macy: No sophia….. Its means that we’re stranded. Stranded with nothing. OMG GUYS!! We’re going to die here!
Grace: No one’s dying, stop crying we’re fine. We have food and there was a sign for a gas station about 2 miles back so we we’re close enough.
Macy: and when we run out of food what do we do!?
Sophia: Stop being so dramatic Macy were you listening to Grace. WE WILL BE FINE period.
Narrator: They walked until they reached the dump, people call the gas station and got gas.
Grace: See, everything turned out to be fine and we only have (looks at phone or watch) approximately 10 hours on the road!
Sophia and Macy: UGHHHHH
Grace: at least we are halfway through!
Macy: Okay well, let’s get on the road.
Grace: Or we could sight see
Sophia: Or we could get on the road.
Grace: Okay. Road it is!
Narrator: The girls ran to the car and hopped in.
Chorus: On the road they go.
                                                              Cars and people are similar
They both stop and give up
When they run out of gas or energy
They slow until a complete stop
But once they get what they need
Gas or rest
They go on like nothing happened

Act 2; Scene 1
Chorus: Driving and driving.
Grace: Heys guys, you know what would be fun?
Sophia: Getting to the beach?
Macy: Being able to skydive?
Grace: Sounds fun but no, and don’t know where you got that from so still no. Guys we should sing!
Sophia: NOPE
Macy: Let’s listen to music instead.
Chorus: Music is they key to the road.
Grace: Fine. (with a sigh)
Narrator: Five hours later, while Sophia and Macy sleep peacefully, Grace drives them to reach their destination.
Grace: Rise and shine, just like the sun does every morning in california. (giggles)
Sophia: Very clever, but I’m tired and would very much like to sleep right now.
Macy: Same here
Grace: Okay but we’ll be there in five hours
Sophia and Macy: So…..
Grace: I’m tired can someone drive?
Macy: I’m sleeping
Sophia: I will, I’m sick of this back seat there’s nothing to do!
Grace: So just like the rest of the car
Macy: Shhhhhhhhh….I’m trying to sleep!

Scene 2
Narrator: Grace slowly rises from slumber
Grace: How much longer?
Sophia: 1 more hour.
Macy: Guys I am trying to sleep. Please be quiet for the last hour.
Grace:You’ve been sleeping for Eleven hours!
Macy: Your point?
Grace: Okay sleeping beauty, get some more sleep
Sophia: CALI! CALI! CALI!
Macy: Ugh we just have one more hour….right?
Sophia: (In Macy’s ear) CALIFORNIA!
Grace: Yup and Yup
Macy: Alright, I’m up.
Narrator: But then a car came, and there was a loud booming crash
Chorus: And that’s when
Narrator: Macy and Sophia woke up (weirdly enough from the same dream) from a deep slumber during the first hour of their road trip.
Sophia and Macy: Huh, Where are we?
Chorus: The End!
Epilogue
Narrator: As the 3 girls hop out of the car they are so happy that they are finally away from their parental units for 2 weeks. In a new state. New air. They go swimming in the cool ocean waves that they’ve never felt before. That’s when their new adventure began.
