I am 4367 I don't know how long I've been here. I might have arrived here moments ago but it feels like a lifetime. I am 4367. I haven't seen the face of another human as long as I can remember. Everyday I strain myself, try to remember how I look. The curve of my nose, the color of my eyes. The image is blurry now. Everyday I hear the door in the hallway. Slam. Shut. It's the only thing I have to remind me that I'm not alone. I am 4367. I don't know why I'm here; I forgot long ago. I am 4367. I trace the numbers on my forearm incessantly. Four. Three. Six. Seven. The door slams. They'll come and get me one day. I am 4367.

These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which, as they kiss, consume. The sweetest honey
Is loathsome in his own deliciousness
And in the taste confounds the appetite.
Therefore love moderately.

You are very welcome. :)
