Day 1, I've started this diary on the 19/10/11 of my life so far.
Dear diary,
I'm 13 years old and my name's Vanessa Chan. My mother, though I love her is absolutely rubbish at picking husbands. If she'd raised me with someone I wouldn't have minded but no, someone from the same community as us who she says we know but we don't really know at all. He to put his hand on me, good thing I didn't tell honey she would've went mad. Like the time that girl shouted out in class that she was a cow, she went bonkers at that, she got sent home and everything. But I suppose it's best if I don't tell her, I mean,it's just a small bruise and he is cute and my mum likes him so I might not say anything. There is always of course the fact that no-one will believe me.
