You sat across from me, staring at the center of the table. Your hand were folded in front of you; resting gracefully on the white linen tablecloth. I watched your eyes-a beautiful mix of browns. I drummed my fingers on the tabletop and held my chin in my other hand. You then looked into my eyes. The tiniest smile played across your lips. You asked me if I ever thought about you. A thousand answers danced across my mind. I wanted to say that I have thought about you every minute that you were not around. I wanted to say that you have made an appearance in every single one of my dreams since the day I first met you. I wanted to tell you that it was like being given the greatest gift in the world when you smiled. I wanted you to know that I thought you were perfect...but the words were lost in a maze inside of me.
I only smiled and shook my head. I could no longer look into your eyes.
