You'd wonder about that boy. You'd wonder about the way he spikes his hair, the way he choses his shoes, the way he walks as if the world might jump out and bite him. You'd wonder about the way his watch is set to the time of the institution – down to the very second. You'd wonder about the bright red jacket, you'd wonder about the judgement, that fear he has for the abnormal, the un-normal. But, mostly, you'd wonder about how the sun reflects from his eyes to make them seem like liquid caramel – even when we're inside.

I know things about that boy. I know his habits, I know his ways, I know the way his head ticks, the way he walks, way he talks, what he's thinking when he looks at me from his beautiful eyes. And I think he's just starting to notice.

You'd wonder about the way that boy looked at you, when you started to laugh. It's a submissive look, but oh-so judgemental. You'd wonder about that boy.

I wonder about that boy.
