Just one last Kiss

Bouncy curls, ballet, pink flowers have never been my thing. Even though my mother wishes they were. Now that I think about it I never even had a crush on a boy. I’m not saying that I have never had a crush, I do, I always have. On my friend, Alexia. She has beautiful blazing blue eyes and hair that looks like a flowing lake of light brown. She has amazing freckles that shower her face and dimples that look like the Grand Canyon. She is as friendly and caring and kind as can be. There is only one problem; she will never look at me as more than one of her best friends.

I have quietly followed behind her and I have always been her shoulder to cry on when the guys leave her for someone else. I sit and stare with desire as I follow her into the dressing room to tell her which dress looks more like her. I don’t know if she has ever suspected a thing but I don’t know if I will ever be able to tell her how I really feel. On the inside, I want her more than I have ever wanted anything else. Her body, her curves, her hair, her eyes. I never thought anything else could be so beautiful.

Last night, she called. She asked me, in her voice of honey, to come and spend the night at her house tomorrow night. I exploded in happiness and couldn’t wait. I couldn’t let this opportunity go and I got ready to go the next morning. The day went by slowly and I finally thought that I would be okay to arrive a little early. I got in my car and with overwhelming joy drove to her house. I parked in the driveway and practically ran to the front door.

“Hello Kelly” answered her mom in a polite voice. She had never liked me and for some reason she thought I was a bad influence on Alexia.

“Good afternoon, Mrs. Deader” I answered with a quick smile. I dodged passed her and my whole soul lit up when I saw her face smiling at me from down the hall. We went up the stairs to her room and I dropped my bags next to her closet door.

“My parents are leaving to dinner and a movie in a couple of minutes so we will be able to have some real fun right now!” Alexia beamed.

I smiled at her and sat on the bed. I switched on her TV and stared at my hands.

“So how's it going with you and Ben?” I asked.

“It’s going great; I mean I think he might be the one!”

“Ohh, i'm so happy for you.” I replied.

“Thanks, it’s just that he seems distracted lately. I just can’t put my finger on it.”

I stared at the TV and then she got up. She took off her sweatshirt and opened her closet.

“Okay, what should I wear?” she asked.

“What? Where are we going?” I asked confused.

“Out! We aren’t gonna stay here all night. As soon as my parents leave, we are hitting the mall and then the amazing new pizza parlor.”

She started pulling out a bunch of shirts and threw then on the bed next to me. Then she hurried over to her dresser and pulled out a pair of jeans.

“Pick...” she commanded.

I randomly pointed at a shirt and looked at her. She made a face and then picked up the one next to it.

“I think this one is better.”

She pulled off the shorts she was wearing and I felt my throat tighten. I felt hot all over and looked at her from head to toe. She pulled on her jeans and I swallowed hard. Then came the shirt. She pulled it off not knowing that she was giving me a private strip tease. I stared at her as she threw it on the floor. Her breasts were full and beautiful. Filling her Victoria’s Secret bra that I had picked out. She rubbed her breast and fixed it. I secretly wished she would take off her bra but I tried to control myself. She pulled on her t-shirt as I fanned my face for air. She undid her pony tail and shook her hair.

“There! Perfect!” she exclaimed.

“We’ll see you later, honey!” her parents called from down stairs.

“Ok, bye!” she called down.

We heard the slam of the door and she turned to face me. She grabbed my hand and pulled me down stairs she grabbed her keys and then we left. She blasted her stereo and I could smell her heavy perfume. I was in a daze as I watched her dance in her seat and sooner than I had expected we were at the mall. We entered store after store and after Alexia had picked two sexy dresses and a pair of shoes we headed to the fountain at the front of the mall. That was where we usually talked and I basked in her pure beauty.

She talked and I listened. That was how it usually went. I had always been there for her and she was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was around 8:30 when she was telling me about her love for Ben when I saw something that would break her heart. Before I could do something she turned her head and saw it. Ben in the arms of another girl. They were full on making out and before I could say anything she got up and ran to the parking lot. I got up and followed her. I found her waiting for me in the passenger seat of the car, with tears in her eyes. I took the wheel and began to drive towards her house.

It broke my heart to see her this way and I felt like stopping the car and holding her in my arms. Once we got to her house we went up to her room. She threw herself on the bed and I realized that it was time to make my move. I coaxed her to come to me and she stood up and fell into my arms. Her sobs were overwhelming and I didn’t know what to do. I took her face in my hands and I told her that he was no good for her. I told her that she was way better and she didn’t deserve him. After several minutes she stopped crying and looked me straight in the eyes.

“You really think I’m better than him?” she asked with her chin trembling.

“Yes, I do” I answered whole-heartedly.

She smiled and I smiled too. Then before I could stop myself I pulled her lips to mine and I kissed her. What surprised me the most was that she kissed me back. I pulled her away to look at her and she stared right back at me. I grabbed her by the waist and kissed her again, this time I kissed her like never before. I didn’t hold myself back and I enjoyed every minute of it.

In the morning I woke up and I realized what had happened. I knew this wouldn’t last but I knew that this was the time to enjoy it. I pulled her close one more time and as she opened her eyes I whispered in her ear…

“Just one last kiss….”
