I Believed

I thought I believed that fathers were something that was supposed to be cherished. I believed that a father that left you alone would always come back because they knew how much you'd miss them. I thought I believed that fathers played in the park with their little girls and listened to them tell stories about school. That no matter how old they got they would still ask about their daughters life. I believed that no matter where your father was, you would still be able to tell them what college you wanted to go to, or what your dreams and goals are. I thought I was wrong for believing that. But, I wasn't, I was right and I found someone who does that for me.

This is a story I originally wrote in the 7th grade. I was and still am very confused but i hope by sharing this story, I can show that there is still hope and that anything is possible.
