It confuses me sometimes. Sometimes you seem so perfect. Sometimes in that moment when I'm out of breath, choked by laughter. Sometimes in that moment before I come up for air. That’s when it seems alright. But sometimes your offhand comments cut me to the core in ways I don't know if you can imagine, and if I knew I had those breathtaking moments the rest of the time wouldn't be so bad. But the problem is my little demons, the ones you always seems to wake, they have the key to where I keep those moments. And they lose their splendor a little more each time they fall to the ground.
