Her hands leaped to her face, trying to cover the tears that have already formed in her ocean blue eyes. Her mouth immediately switched to a grimace, her pink and green braces showing on her bottom set of teeth. Her cheeks flushed a bright fuchsia, becoming the back-light shining on her orange- red freckles. Sobs from deep inside her gut rose, threatening to break out from her mouth, turning every-one's opinion of her upside down. This is just an excerpt from my story, The Promise. The story's not finished yet, so I'd thought I'd share a little piece. Hope you enjoy!
