Married Life

A man met the girl of his dreams. They talked online for a long time. The woman kept referring positively to the relationship philosophy "opposites attract." The man noticed this, and benignly began to use it to his advantage. Whatever the woman liked, he claimed to favor the opposite. Whatever she believed, he "believed" the opposite to be true. The woman loved this, thinking it would encourage "healthy debate" in their relationship.
The couple dated for several years and then became engaged. But the man had second thoughts. He had grown weary of living a double life, always disagreeing with his amazing fiancee. But she wanted to get married. They did.

In reality, the only view the man did not share with his wife was that on the nature of relationships.
He lived a sad, happy life.
