I am 16. I am white. I am disabled. I am American.
I have rheumatoid arthritis. I have since I was 10. I have 3 years left. My mom's my doctor, my boyfriend's a dog, and my dad.. Well, my dad's a deadbeat. I'm not your average girl, but then again, who is? I live in the projects outside the suburbs of Philiadelphia PA. I haven't gone to school in 6 years. I haven't left the house in just as long. Today's my last day. The last day of freedom. Why? Easy. I'm a burden. My 32 year-old mother has grey hair, works two jobs, and is on Welfare. Why? My medicines cost so much, we can't afford our home. Today is my last day. Tomorrow I'll be leaving the house.
In a coffin.
