Dear diary,
Hi my name is Sally. My mom just bought you for me today diary. I am going to write such exciting things in you. Just wait. To start it off I am going to tell you that my parents just told me they were going to file for divorce. August 3, 2005

Dear diary,
Today my mother and father got divorced. I am not sure what that means. Though I am pretty sure it means that daddy won't be living here anymore. The rest of the day went on as usual, expect that mother is on the phone a lot more than usual. August 4, 2005

Dear diary,
My mother says we have to go somewhere tomorrow, I think it still has to do with that divorce stuff. I asked mother what divorce means she said that what I thought it was is correct. She says that daddy will not be living or even seeing us anymore. I still don't understand. August 6, 2005

Dear diary,
We went to this place today, I think it was called a court room. My mother and father were arguing about who should have what from the house. Good thing it was just for their things. When that was done we left, when we got home people were taking everything that belonged to father. Mother says we have to go back again tomorrow. August 7, 2005

Dear diary,
We went back to the court room place and mother and father were beginning to argue who should have custody over me. I was so glad when mother won. I feel sorry for father though, he has no family or house anymore. So I asked mother if he could stay at our house until he got his own home. I had also asked if father could visit every now and then as long as he called before he came over. Mother said yes and I was so happy. August 8, 2005

Dear diary,
It has been a few days since I have been able to write. I had to help my mother and father move his things into the guest room, and I have been sick for a few days. Today my father said he may have found a place. I am a little sad, but I am also glad that he might have a place to live now. August 12, 2005

Dear diary,
Today my father said he has a house, now he just needs to get a job he told me. My mother looks like she can't wait for him to move out to his new house. My father told her he would leave as soon as he has a job that pays well. My mom says she will have to get a job as well. August 13, 2005

Dear diary,
Sorry I couldn't write in you yesterday, my dad wanted to take me to chuckie cheese since yesterday was our last day together for a while. I had so much fun. I played the games and he ordered us some pizza. I also won some prizes with the tickets I got from all of the games I played. It was so fun. August 15, 2005

Dear diary,
My mother has gotten a new job that pays well and allows her to come home when I get home from school. Today I started school and I made some new friends. I had some pizza, and milk for lunch. During recess me and my friends played tag. It was a fun first day. August 16, 2005

Dear diary,
I have been unable to write for a while because I had so much homework and my mother has wanted me to start working around the house more because of her new job. Sometimes I just wish my mother and father would just get back together. August 20, 2005

Dear diary,
My mother has started dating some guy named Rick. I sorta of like him, but not as much as my real father. He said that he hopes we could get to know each other later. August 21, 2005

Dear diary,
Today I told my mother that I don't like Rick. She asked me why and I told her because he isn't my real daddy. I also told her that I have been seeing him take money from your purse when your not looking. I am now grounded. She said she would ask about the money. August 22, 2005

Dear diary,
My mother dumped Rick because Rick had told her he was taking money when she had asked him about. She called my father to ask if they could meet later. I am pretty sure he said yes. August 23, 2005

Dear diary,
My mother and father talked today. When they were done my father left. I asked what happened but my mother told me it was late and she would tell me tomorrow. I can't wait. August 25, 2005

Dear diary,
My mother said that she and my father are going to remarry. I was so glad about the news. She said they will get married in a few days. I think I am going to be busy. August 26, 2005

I have been really busy the past few days. I was helping my mother prepare for the wedding. There was so much to do. We had to make a cake, set all the chairs, tables and other stuff like that. They are to married tomorrow. August 30, 2005

My parents were married today. I was so happy. Everyone was there, my grandparents, aunts and uncles, and my friends and there parents. My parents said that they are going to go on a honeymoon and they said that I'll need a baby sitter. I wonder who it will be. August 31, 2005
