The familiar whirr of engines filled his ears and rattled a piece of plastic below the left window. He had grown used to it over time but he still loathed popping ears. Suddenly, something happened although he wasn’t sure what. He blacked out, or at least half blacked out when you are in that state when you are aware of your consciousness but can’t really move. He began to feel a weightlessness that he had felt as a young child getting on roller coasters he was too young for. He remembered running with his uncle, building a little plane out of applewood, getting glue stuck to him and finally christening it with a little plastic nose clip. He remembered these last few things as the world crashed around him.
