Favorite Quote:
She drinks the mint julip of life's brandy.

She was Mona Lisa,
Propped up as a masterpiece for a lucky prince to purchase
To hang in his own halls
Her smile was deceitful
Her poise was forced
She envied the freedom of the breeze
That ruffled her hair as she stood on the ledge
It was not locked in the prison of expectation she was born into
It had no obligation, no limitations
Living on its own terms
So, she became a tornado.
She blew through the bars of the gates
Raging through the kingdom
as the guards destroyed cities trying to stop her
She tore through over mountains and rivers
Until no one had ever heard of her former kingdom's name
But eventually they stopped looking for their lost princess
Then she became the breeze she envied
Listlessly floating through the land
Obligated to nothing
Bound to no one
Pushed along by an unseen motivation
Lingering long enough to stir
But never long enough to settle
Soon enough she became a lost soul,
Forgotten by her former kingdom
Nameless to even herself
Her royal days, a fading memory
She was an aimless wanderer
No set compass pointing north
Until she reached the sea.
She became a sailor
Making a career out of the travel she loved so dearly
She learned how to barter and sell
From a female captain that took a shine to her
She is herself now
Her family is the crew
Her spouse is the sea
No one ever knew where she had came from
She is free
She is happy
And that's all that matters in the end.
