"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present."

I woke up at four this morning, just to go out for breakfast with my theater friends. We went to Maria’s restaurant to eat. It’s our tradition, early morning breakfast before a casting call. Yummy food feeds the butterflies in your stomach. Then we all drove to school to look at the cast list.

“I’m sorry.” But I just smile.

Now it’s time for class. All day, different scenarios flood my brain. Everyone asks me how I did and I tell them the truth. I have to turn away because dust got in my eye. You ask me if I am okay. “I’m fine, I’m fine.” And I flash my pearly whites and show you a convincing smile. School is over and I go home.

Hours later, while I am reading in my bed, I think to myself, “How couldn’t I get the part when I act everyday?”
