My family’s eyes are all a very similar color. Brown. All except my moms eyes, which shimmer with snake green. The color is inviting and filled with calming care when she looks at her children. My dad’s eyes are like dark chocolate, bitter sweet. Harsh with the tiredness of the work day but loving like his heart. A captivating combination. A color that shines like gold when we laugh at the same jokes. My sister’s eyes are a light brown with a splash of green from my mother. With the love from the brown and the cheerfulness from the green, her eyes look down at textbooks with motivation. My brother’s eyes are a darker brown like my father’s, filled with creativity and humour. Eyes that look at a computer gushing with the notes of the music he makes.  Lastly, my eyes are similar to my sister’s, brown with green, my green seeping deeper into the brown. Caring like my mother but tired like my father, my eyes seem determined as I salute to the judge, ready to compete.
