Cleats
They aren't just a tool, they’re a weapon. They’re not just an article of clothing, they’re a part of you. You can’t get rid of them and you won’t. Stained with grass and turf marks, worn down from the many uses but still as reliable as a horse. The more you wear them, the more they become attached to you. You are inseparable, like peanut butter and jelly, like the earth and gravity. If you lost them, it would totally destroy you inside. It would cut you apart, just like butter, because they’ve become so important to you and such a part of you, you will never feel the same. Still wondering what “they” are? Well, the next time your playing an outdoor sport, take a moment and look down. Then, you will realize what “they” are.
