A Leader and Her Second
“I’m so sorry Vix; I know how hard it must be.” He whispered as he lay in her arms.
“W-Wyatt! What the hell are you talking about? You can’t die! Our bond, it protects you.” Shuala nearly yelled. She was trembling and was having trouble keeping her voice level.
He gave her a smile that was filled with pity and said a single sentence before taking his final breath.
“La douleur exquise.”
At those words her heart stopped. A tear of blood escaped from one eye, but a tear, a true tear of sadness, left the other.
One legend was true; her hair was as white as snow
The other legend proved to not be true.
A leader and their second can die separately.
