"I don't need you anymore. I will make my way, don't you doubt that. You can leave, you can stay gone. You can take all the memories with you, they don't do me any good. Today I will bury all of my memories, feelings and thoughts. I will bury you and it's going to be the funeral. The funeral, of all we used to be."

Chapter 1: The Funeral

I cannot remember the day you left me, because you never said goodbye.
Now I am barely breathing, don’t know where to go.
Everyone keeps asking me what happened and I am not able to answer that question, I’m still trying to find an answer to that myself.
We used to be an ‚us‘.
I am still not sure what changed.
You said horrible things to me over the years.
So did I.
But I never held it against you.
Unlike you. You held it against me.
Did you wake up one day and decided I am not worth it?
Not worth fighting for?
Not worth holding on too?
I keep thinking it over again and again and again.
I cannot let go.
But I have to, I know that.
It’s tearing me apart.
You left me and I’m starting to accept that.
I have to.
I have to accept it, otherwise I will not survive this.
But you cannot keep coming back when you feel like it. I’m not a toy.
I have to deal with this on my own.
I have to learn to look after myself.
I don’t need you anymore. I will make my way, don’t you doubt that.
You can leave, you can stay gone.
You can take all the memories with you, they don’t do me any good.
Today I will bury all of my memories, feelings and thoughts.
I will bury you and it’s going to be the funeral.
The funeral, of all we used to be.

The End
