Pull What Trigger?
The man looked at the object on the table. Maybe it wasn't so bad. No, it was. It was built for destruction. Maybe it was for defense? No, it was for harm. The man hated it with passion. Despised. Wished for it to burn. His parents were killed by one of its kind in a senseless act of violence. He hated it with a burning passion. It shouldn’t have a place in this world.
In the middle of this thoughts, an official stepped into the room.
"..."
"You have one minute."
"... Okay."
"..."
And the official left.
What do I do? My family or others. Strangers or my loved ones. Is it selfish to put priority on your family? It implies others are worth less. What makes people around me more special? The man couldn't think. He just started at the table. He hated them. The leaders. For putting him in this situation.
The official walked in again, interrupting his thoughts.
"Your decision?"
"..."
The man took the object off the table, and walked out the door, not saying a word.
And then a deafening sound could be heard in the distance.
