Sometimes people are like fire. Burning bright and high, no way to stop them. Pulling you close with its growing warmth and light. Making you feel invited, wanted for once. But other times, when you get too close, they burn you. At that point you have a choice. Either pull away or get closer. When you pull away you'll most likely never go back, worried it'll hurt you again. When you get closer, you don't want to miss out. You want to give it a second chance. But sometimes, when you get too close, it captures you and you can't get out. It engulfs you, making you become part of it, slowly burning you until you stop fighting. At this point you know it's over, you regret ever getting that close to it. If you had a second chance, you would run. But they don't give you second chances. They keep you and hold you until you die, burned to death by their soul.
