A Soldier's Soul

All I can hear is gunshots and the screaming of torched soldiers. I see fierce flames and black smoke clouds like a thunder storm billowing towards me. The smell of gun powder chokes down my throat as I gasp for air. The taste of nothing lingers in my mouth. I feel as though I’m never going to get out of this dark and horrible place.
