The park was perfect. A spinning tire swing, a slide, and animals on springs going back and forth were there. The girl stood there, in the middle of it. The jungle gym in the center with the tic-tac-tow board was silent. Then she opened her eyes. The swing was gone. The jungle gym was replaced by a new one. The metal slide disappeared, also. The animals were gone too. The rows of roses were beautiful next door. They seemed to have stayed the same.

She walked around some more. Then she got in her car and drove home to finish packing for college. She hadn’t lived in that neighborhood for 12 years. Seemed like just yesterday. Time flies by. The next day she got in the car with her family and they drove for 45 minutes. And to think, they doctors didn’t think she would last a week.
