She looked at her wrist in the Shadows. Deep blue veins under her tissue paper skin made webs through her hand. She imagined the tiny tubes becoming twisted in transit as they stretched from her fingers to the paper she held. Giving it life. In the light the veins were light blue, hidden behind skin.
