rainy city day

As I count the people walking on the wet side walk on this rainy day, I only see one that stands out he is just standing there alone with his old umbrella and, his long trench coat. And I wonder why this normally busy road has just one visitor, besides the many cabs that drive by, with there wipers beating like the hearts of to lovers and this guy all alone by him self. WHY? why can’t he have a lover to share his beating hearts with. Why is he standing here with the towering buildings, shooting up into the sky.
