The Heavens

He watches the night sky with the intensity of a wolf moving in for the kill. Eyes tracking Perseus on Cassiopeia’s tail, Libra stalks slowly into his periphery. He is entranced as Hercules dances with Delphinus and witnesses Corona get jealous. Lying there he understands the world. He understands the heavens. He understands his life.
