I’ve told you my love for you a thousand times over. Your voice remains soft and giving, but your words slip away with the late winter wind. I re-read words from earlier, warmer months that make the chords in my heart sink, and pull at all of the tiny gears in my brain. I memorize the movement of our memories, such sweet certainty that accompanied them. And though no tears form in my eyes, I am missing you. I am missing every piece of the human you used to be. I am forever tangled in hopes of us, in our dreams, and preformed destiny. Do you feel it all still? Do you ache for me the way you used to?
Every sensitive desire and longing holds me close. Every bright, colorful vivid image remains on my mind. O, love me the way you used to. Let me become your sun once again.
