Her soft eyes moved across the audience casually with her hands gently placed upon the pedestal. People poured in and remained silent as they found a seat, anticipating the words that would soon be spoken from her distressed lips. Placed to her side was a discrete and dull black box with flowers rested at its center. As her eyes drifted she spotted a single white dove perched on a high windowsill with the setting sun in the distance. The doors closed at the end of the long hall and all eyes focused in on the divine woman standing still as if she were frozen in time. After saying only a few words, sorrow fell from her eyes and the priest took over with a verse from the bible. As he spoke you could hear the distinct chirp of a dove as it flew nimbly over the distressed bodies causing the woman to part from her tears as she became overwhelmed with a feeling of exhilaration. In that moment she knew her son had not left her alone, he would always be watching her.
