Providence College MAG

Providence, RI: Ever since I was little, I've been impressed with Providence College. It has a perfect size campus which is not too small and not too large, with about 4000 students. The atmosphere is exciting around campus because of its great athletic teams and great kids.

About 20 years ago, the college converted to co-education. The school is run by Dominican friars and priests who also teach classes. There are also many great non-religious teachers. There are many majors, from business to theology. Most of the kids are down-to-earth and have great attitudes.

The only problem is it's not easy to get into. This freshman class had over 5,414 applicants from which 969 were accepted, and 320 transfers applied for only 87 spots.

Ninty-two percent of the class were ranked in the top half of their high school classes. I can share this information firsthand because my father graduated from PC, and my brother is a junior there now.

I suggest Providence College if you are a steady A to B-range student. It would be worth your while to take a trip and take a tour. n
